Access



While located in the North West of Ireland Donegal is readily accessibly by road and air from within Ireland and from overseas. The county is less than 230 km (3 hours drive time) from Dublin and less than 150km (less than 2hours drive time) form Belfast. The county is 145km from the port of Larne and 240km to Dublin Port.

Direct air access to the county is via Donegal Airport in Carrickfinn which has daily flights to and from Dublin and also flights to Scotland, England and continental Europe. The City of Derry Airport, less than 50km form Letterkenny, operates daily return flights to Dublin and a range of British destinations. To the south of the county Sligo Airport provides daily services to and from Dublin with links to other destinations.

The county is less than two hours drive time from Belfast International Airport, Belfast City Airport and three hours from Dublin Airport.
