Housing

The total area of Donegal is 486,091hectares, representing 6.9% of the total area nationally. The population density in Donegal is 27 persons per sq. km., as compared to the national average of 52.

Donegal offers you a wide range of housing options – all at considerably lower prices than the main urban centres within the Ireland and much of the rest of the country. Average house prices for three and four bed-roomed detached houses in Letterkenny, the county’s main town and business centre, are €200,000 and €250,000 respectively. There are also always a wide range of new and second- hand houses available throughout the county in towns, villages and in the countryside.
