Community Development

The Community Development team at S.T.E.P. is involved with a number of projects involving the Migrant Worker community, including:
 
- Developing a comprehensive Supporting People (NIHE) programme in the area, that is designed to try and help to prevent homelessness among local people and migrant workers

- Carrying out research regarding the families of migrant workers and the facilities that are available to them and also looking at whatever obstacles may exist that prevent migrant families being fully involved in local activities

- Taking part in the “Working Group on meeting the needs of Black and Minority Ethnic Children and Young People”

- Lithuanian language schools for children aged up to eleven

- Summer scheme for children from the Migrant Population
